Mix it up with the direction of the radial pattern. it looks like its only going to the right because they're overlapping. Maybe add some variety to the middle more than just a star too! Looks cool though!
I like the motif itself, but is the star centered? I can't tell. Try aligning everything to the artboard, maybe?
